The Ferree Cabin is the private ONLY cabin available for rent on the Chena Hot Springs Resort property. Come see the amazing Northern Lights show during Aurora Viewing Season each year from August 21-April 21! Come see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) dance above your head while relaxing in the natural outdoor hot springs rock lake (ages 18+) in winter at the resort! The best time of year to see the Northern Lights is from December-March. Book a snow coach aurora viewing tour departing every night from 10pm-2am or a dog-sled ride in winter or dog cart ride in summer. Check in at Activity Center for a list of available activities.
The Aurora Ice Museum tours operate daily at 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm & 7pm. Buy your tickets at the Activity Center at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour for $15 per person. The ice museum has amazing ice sculptures & an ice bar with its own specialty drink called an "appletini". It is $15 in addition to the tour. It comes in an ice carved martini glass. Your souvenir to take with you!
The Pool House and natural outdoor adult (ages 18+) rock lake are open daily from 7am-12am. Swim passes are $10 per person and include shower privileges.
The resort boasts 440 pristine acres and uses geothermal water to heat and provide electricity for the resort with its 50+ year round employees. It is located 30 miles off the grid & has become its own self-sustaining community. Be sure to take a free renewable energy tour at 2pm or 4pm daily and learn more about it. Simply sign in at the Activity Center 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
